When Should I Visit a Ford Service Center?
Whether your vehicle is fresh from the factory or about to reach the 1000,000-mile mark, taking it to the shop at regular intervals is the best way to ensure that it continues operating at peak performance. We recommend that all Washington drivers get their vehicle serviced at least twice per year.
Fluid Level Checks
Having your fluids topped off regularly is simple and can be performed in just a few minutes. Fluids in your car include oil, radiator, transmission, power steering, windshield washer, and brake fluid. When necessary, our technicians can also flush and change all the fluid in your vehicle.
Oil Change
Although it varies by model, in general, it is generally recommended that you schedule an oil change about every 7,500 miles. To be safe, it is best to refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual, which includes a detailed manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedule. You can also reach out to our technicians for their expert recommendations.
Filters
Your vehicle’s filters should be changed every 15K–30K miles. Most can be inspected and replaced during a routine oil change. These include the engine air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and cabin air filter.
Spark Plug Replacements
In general, you should have your spark plugs replaced about every 100K miles. This vital service is a bit more in-depth and ensures you can start your vehicle every day.
Belts & Hoses Checks
When you visit our service center, our technicians will be sure to periodically check your belts and hoses, which play an integral part in your vehicle’s performance. If they begin to show signs of wear and tear, we’ll make sure they get replaced or repaired properly.
Brake Services
From the discs to the pads and all the parts in between, your brakes help keep you safe by stopping your vehicle. Our experienced technicians know the ins and outs of braking systems, so they can quickly diagnose and fix whatever may be going on or replace a part that has worn down.
Battery Tests & Replacements
Today’s vehicles are loaded with technology. That’s why it’s more important than ever to ensure your battery operates at peak performance. We can test your battery from time to time to check its condition, so you can feel confident that your vehicle will start whenever you need it to.
Tire Checks & Rotations
Your tires should be inspected routinely to ensure they’re still within recommended air and tread levels. Additionally, in general, you should have your tires rotated about every 6,000 miles to ensure even wear and improve traction. When you schedule a tire rotation, our service technicians will also check for any objects that may have become lodged in your tires, bulges, or bent rims. If need be, we can replace one or more of your tires to help you stay safe out on the road.
